Error measure presentation

Another important way to summarise the error distribution is to consider that from the dialogue point of view some errors are more severe than others. We usually distinguish the following types of error:

 

Correct input Input word is recognised.
Input word is rejected (false rejection ).
Input word is omitted (not detected).
A different word is recognised (substitution ).
Incorrect input Input is rejected.
Input is accepted as a word (false acceptance ).
