I am a linguistics researcher in the department of linguistics and literature at the University of Bielefeld. Previously I was a researcher in the project Case and referential context of the Collaborative Research Centre Incremental Specification in context at the University of Stuttgart. I completed my PhD dissertation in linguistics at King's College London.

My main areas of research are differential subject and object marking, the morphosyntax and semantics of clitic pronouns, the syntax-semantics interface, nominal quantification and semantic composition.

In March 2009 I have joined Prof. Marcus Kracht in developing the theory of referent systems. The basic idea is that semantic composition is not performed by function application, but by a calculus which merges variables depending on the morphosyntactic properties associated with them. For a short introduction to the theory of referent systems see here.
